About Us

The Academy's Nurses Section, the American Association of Spinal Cord Injury Nurses, advances spinal cord injury nursing practice through education, research, and networking. We promote excellence in meeting the nursing care needs of individuals with spinal cord injury.

Goals

• Promote advancement in nursing care of individuals with spinal cord injury and related diseases
• Provide education related to SCI nursing practice
• Report research findings
• Disseminate scientific information to achieve optimal health-care outcomes
• Recognize nurses whose careers are devoted to enhancing the outcomes of individuals with SCI
• Afford members an opportunity to participate in activities
